I just noticed that some new (and old) images submitted are obviously not original works, and are just google copy/pastes. Can we get some official policy written up somewhere (obvious) about this? Maybe right in the tool?
-
Yeah that's a good idea, surprised it's not the Workshop info, though I believe that's stated in the steam thing anyway; A sort of "this is mine" agreement when you publish something would be good.

i thought i saw that it had to be original on the guide lines on muse website
"Items containing offensive imagery, and copyrighted or trademarked materials will not be considered."

so i think they have cover it
anyway richard your work looks great keep it up man

I'd hate to be the person who has to check all those images. Bet they'll probably just outright refuse stuff if it even looks close to something else. Ultimately the trick will be folks refining stuff enough so it gives a likeness but doesn't cross anything...that of course means anything named "Candy" or "Saga" will be banned immediately :D.
Not that it matters much atm, bunch of folks can't even get items posted still with the Steam agreement bug. I'm sadly one of them.

oh man, don't get me started...

I wonder, how much of current uploaded images are drawn by the authors.
I checked just couple of them with google image search and became extremely disappointed.
So, when the copyright violators will be banned?

I don't think there are any curators checking the images yet. Muse is still having issues with the workshop and getting items moved into the 'Approved for game' section from what I hear.
