Gameplay / Re: The new Minotaur

I don't really see how bringing moonshine or kerosene to counter minotaur is any different from bringing droge chute to counter caronade or lumberjack, or bringing chemspray to counter flamethrower.

I've seen this same kind of anti crowd control campaigning in other games and it always baffles me. Multiplayer games with no crowd control just devolve into boring dps races of who can get the first shot in.

If I can make a last minute request, could our team name be Crimson, Bards, and Phobos Trade Alliance?

Sorry this is so last minute.

Just for clarification, who specifically do we submit our prize selections to?

General Discussion / Re: Ship Sizes
« on: June 30, 2015, 10:05:22 am »
I've recently  been wondering this as well, and wasn't able to think of a good way to measure the ships in game. That rangefinder method is probably the best we can do unless someone from Muse has any info they feel like sharing.

Loch gatling is a specific weapon ammo combination though. Overall, a gatling is more useful than a harpoon.

General Discussion / Re: To GG or not to GG? That is the question.
« on: June 15, 2015, 02:25:24 pm »
I think of saying GG at the end of a match as the online game equivalent to shaking hands after a match in many sports. It shows sportsmanship and respect for your opponent, and also ally ships.

If a match was particularly close, or the opposition was extra impressive, I'll add well played, or WP.

Harpoon is demonstrably the worst weapon in the game and you handicap yourself by taking it. The one upside is if you do win with harpoon you know you significantly outplayed your opponents.

The only map I want removed from SCS is Duel at Dawn, at least until they move the spawn points to better positions.

Not everyone finds sniper matches boring.

General Discussion / Re: Notorious Bounty "top few spots"?
« on: June 02, 2015, 03:48:27 pm »
I was told by someone else its the top ten players long ago. I don't for 100% sure know that it is the top ten who get it, Mann.  :P

That said, based on Yarr Vinny Scarr's current position on the board, I feel pretty confident in saying he will get a Notorious Bounty badge.

While I don't think this tool would be over powered or anything, it feels like having a remote control repair option goes against the design intent of the tools. Every tool in the game currently either works from the player character itself, or requires the player to be directing the thing it activates.

I think pilots would take this tool about 80% of the time too.

Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Gunner as ammo provider
« on: May 12, 2015, 11:55:49 am »
I like this idea. It makes the fact that gunner brings 3 ammo types more valuable. It would also encourage all players on a ship to bring different ammo types(even the pilot) to maximize your options on the ship.

What a cool custom project! The gears were a nice touch.  :)

This makes me wonder if anyone uses a gaming wheel and throttle when they play as pilot.
