Title: Captains: What time/days would you like to see new events?
Post by: Urz on July 28, 2013, 09:46:09 pm
There are a number of event ideas I'll be pursuing in the coming future, including small one-ofs, weeklies, and more substantial events in the same vein as the Sky Tournament. Since we have an overpopulation of the 4PM EST/Saturday time slot, and several teams who are asking for events at different times and on different days, the question is what times do people want. Not every event can or needs to cater to every team, considering the wide variety of locales within our community, and as long as there are enough parties interested to support even a small event, it's something I'll consider. Let's figure it out.

In the interest of reducing noise, I would prefer if only team captains posted, as they should have the best idea of their crew's availability.

I'm good if it isn't earlier than 4PM EST Sat. Sunday I'd be ok with anything after 6pm EST. Weekdays...post 4pm EST Tuesday.

Would love another Sky Tourney. Lot more fun flying best of sets than Cogs.

MM are generally free weekends.... Most of our members are US based, though we do have some abroad as well (thus making scheduling a bit difficult for weekday evening hours EST)

The Gentlemen are a worldwide stretch being so some are free at some times, while others are not. I guess most times could work honestly.

I'd like to see something in the timeslot I play in - GMT+9 so I'm not forced to stay up all night - that slot also covers Oceania I believe so I'm not just being unreasonably selfish and demanding events for me and me alone.

Also can we use GMT offsets for describing times rather than 3 letter sigils, it's much easier to work out what time everything is as it's an exercise in basic mental arithmetic which is considerably faster than basic googling IMHO.

I think Saturgay at 4pm EST is best option to get largest possible number of people.
