...And if the proper term is 'medium', than what would count as a heavy?

Official stance is heavy weapons have not been implemented yet. I just call medium guns heavy.

I was just confused, because 'Heavy Flak', 'Heavy Hwacha', 'Heavy Twin Carronade', 'Heavy Mortar'...

No, the official stance is that we have "light" and "heavy" weapons, any reference to "medium" in the game text is a bug.

Thank you for the clarification!  Are there plans for Medium guns?

I don't think a new class of weapons will be created for this game.

There have been rumors of an impact based heavy weapon called the minotaur that Muse is working on. I can't find the thread so it's likely only rumors. Still, I can't wait for a new gun on a charging spire.

The Minotaur is 100% real. It's slated to be in the February patch and Dev App testing is to begin (supposedly) at the end of January/early February

It's reasons like this why you have to come to the Firesides :D

I saw a post from muse that was like what we are working on (on their website) and yeah minotaur gun is one of them.
