Alliance hype thread
« on: January 26, 2017, 08:05:26 pm »
Dude, I can't wait for this shit!

Run around the ship. Repair, shoot,

None of the super imposed "meta" roles.

Haave some fun. OMG!

Super hyped!

"hey, this crew is good, wanna do pvp?"
"hell yea!"
"fuck yea, lets wreck"

Fuck yea Muse, GJ.

I'm so hyped for Alliance.

I hated it at first, but you fixed the A.I. The A.I needs some polish (boss ships turn too fast, and give chase too easily, and they sometimes get stuck on terrain or will ignore completley)

But overall you did a great job. You convinced me from being an Alliance doubter to an Alliance supporter.

I still think the whole world map thing is lame as shit, but thats just me and its def a personal opinion. Like I said - its like a mobile game. kinda lame.

GJ muse!

Also, im drunking.

PVE is def needed in this type of game.

NOW - FIX YOUR UI SO THAT FRIENDING AND SHIT IS MORE FLUID.

no suggestions. but you know. the lobby is good. but like. . .

iono how to explain it, ya know?

maybe if we simply hover over a person's name it shows their avatar?

know what I mean?

Like, make it more personal to know somebody

I want "notes" to put by a person's name when friending them (same with blocking)

Name changes in this game def prevent that though. Awell.

Anyways, I hope the game does well. Looking foward to the surprise game modes you have!

Also, how do I block devs? I keep trying to block Keyvias but it won't let me.

Actually I've had a discussion with my brother recently and we wondered how Muse haven't yet released a mobile goio game? Some basic clicker or strategy could be quite easy to do and it could get them some money and coverage.

Hey, a mobile app for two bucks would be great.  They could put lore, or gun/ammo/tool/ship stats in it.

I have been working on a Diplomacy map.

Hoja commented on that thread as well. :D

From what I've seen playing the betas, Alliance is looking good alright.  The latest iteration is much more enjoyable than last time, and scales to different group sizes noticeably better.  Definitely good signs heading toward release.

That scaling is especially important, because by scaling to group size, Alliance can solve what I consider the single largest problem Guns of Icarus faces: consistently finding appropriately challenging matches for you or your group.  If a group of four can just log in and know that they can go into Alliance for reliably fair but challenging matches, that'll significantly improve the overall experience.
