Richard Lemoon's Cat
« on: April 07, 2016, 09:06:25 am »
Richard had an idea about a cosmetic item that you could buy for you ship. It would be an animated animal that runs around your ship looking super dope! There could be a number of different critters and creatures to choose from. Cats, dogs, monkeys. parrots etc.

Cats are evil so...no.

But in all seriousness, isn't it just going to be a useless AI without any tools?
Technically the AI ARE pets...I'm going to need a little more than just a gray wolf running around my ship and being forced to scrape his squashed organs out of a column of gears

Why not buy pet skins for the AI on your ship?

That way I can look and sound like a Crazy Cat Lady when I take to the skies in an all AI ship.

That could work too. I would love to have a Zombie theme for Halloween and a Turkey theme for Thanksgiving.

Didn't we have similar thread before?

It may be a cool idea but probably it will never happen.

I sometimes wonder if the only thing unique about your personality is dismissing ideas /s

That's actually salt. Something quite common around here.

Y know...I think I'd enjoy a steampowered child running about my ship...

I also hate communists, remember? :P
It may sound harsh but I've seen many better, more needed and easier to implement ideas got shot down so I'm a little biased, I just see no point in discussing something that we will surely not see in current year, at least. I mean, I could write thread about similar ideas, but what for, really? So we could say "Oh, yeah, that's cool mate" or "Oh, no, that's shite mate" and just forget about it after week or two? I see no real point in that.
Don't get me wrong, I don't have negative feelings towards people pitching various ideas, but the discussion many times seems pointless for me, so I decide to point that out. I may put it in a bit unpleasant way, but that's different topic.I guess I'm the "destroying" or "negative" philosophy kind of type here, you are trying to create some ideas and I'm refuting them to ensure that only good ideas (good meaning also realistic) remain for devs to use.
Edit: This may be because in real life I'm quite introverted person and I usually try to think twice before I say anything, so I guess when I think about map ideas in my head I go "Yeah, but devs don't do maps now", so I shut up. I appretiate the value of shutting up in general.

I agree Schwalbe here, cats are the best and you're wrong. Children on the other hand are the source of all bad things in the world so why would you want a steampunk one on your ship. Thanks for your attention, carry on with the discussion

[high five]

And by the way, I'm not German. Do your research before opening your mouth.

;(

I have failed.  Tried to be funny, got shot instead. Oh well.

Schwalbe? Not German for "Swallow?"
Hmm. Could have sworn that it was...
What DOES your name mean?

Also, on a serious note, what more is there to discuss?
We be tossing suggestions on what we want running around our ship without any confirmation that muse will oblige...it be fantasizing in a way, not that I'm complaining though.

...I still don't like cats.
You wont convert me,

He is a very "polished" person.
You actually got the name meaning.
He is a compatriot of Mr.Disaster.
He is a mine lover.
Schwalbe is based.
His people have a natural hate for russkies. And they also argue all the time about who has the best vodka.
