I'm sorry to see you and your team has decided to withdraw from the matches but this was not a request that either organizer of Back to Basics made.

This is super confusing.... in game it says next event is this one but coming to the thread it looks like it already passed??

is there an event coming up or not? Also why send people to a forum page for a sign up, send them to a single page web form, even a google form would be better than this.

This is a terrible way to handle sign ups for an event.

Unsure on when the next event is, but to answer about external site or Google docs sign ups..
Official forums are always the first place to check for community and developer run events and thus the easiest place for people to sign up, adding an additional site for sign ups adds additional work for organisers beyond what they already have to do and often adds an additional hurdle sometimes additional registrations many people would not be willing to do.

Kamoba pretty much answered why we don't have external sign-ups. The link simply was not updated in the game since last week was Easter and this weekend (April 10th) I will be out of town so will not be able to run the event. There will be a Back to Basics!! on May 17th. As soon as I put up the link the guys at Muse will update the in game link.
