What makes a good captain?

A good captain should know how to do every job on his/her ship and how long it will take to do each job. A good captain will remind his/her crew when they are not living hip to his/her expectations and if necessary teach the under performing crew member how it is done. A single word of disappointment from a good captain will sting more than 30 lashes.
