Carn:
Not sure, haven't taken any philosophy classes yet.
Why do people (who aren't already rich) major in Philosophy?
Queso:
Because Academia generally doesn't adhere to the "University as a product/service" model that it's been forced to in the modern economy.
Why did I major in a highly selective and hard to break into field?
Carn:
Because you were fooled by academia and pop culture to think that it was going to be better.
Why doesn't modern education properly prepare students for work?
Queso:
I mean, I feel like I was prepared for work. I just picked very specific work. Only took me a whole year to get a job after graduating :P
Why did the modern economy become so brutal towards people without highly specific domain knowledge and experience that could be taught on the job in like a week?
Carn:
Because in most jobs you either fill a basic menial job, or one which requires special knowledge.
When was the economy NOT like that?
