Guagadu:
From what I can tell from the US election, probably.

Will the world see a time without war in our lifetime?

Skymonger:
Unless we vaporize the entire human race indiscriminantly in an instant, probably not.
Ive only lived on earth for 20 years and theres plenty of conflict going on in other places.

Humanity is full of conflict.
Scaling from battles of words, to full on shootouts, to countries burning each other with their creations.

Whats that One conflict or War that keeps being memorable to you for some reason?

ShadedExalt:
WWII.  No explanation needed I'm sure.

What is your, for lack of better phrasing, favourite war?

C r o w:
30 Years War
I have a historical obsession for it.
To sum up what happen: half Europe decided that being protestant was good, and half decided it was not, so they fought over it like humans do.
King Gustav Vasa is a most peculiar charachter from that war. He was king of the (then uncucked) Swedes and apparently had the best army in Europe, organization-wise. Nicknamed ''Der Lewe Aus Mitternacht'' (The Lion From Midnight), he was a general badass.
And then he died at the Battle of Lutzen because he went full YOLO with a chavalry charge.

Also the Siege of Vienna and the Battle of Lepanto will both always have a special place in my historical heart.

What's yours most well remembered conflict (read as ''favourite''), chap?

Guagadu:
The Great Northern War. Sweden, led by King Karl XII, was attacked by Denmark-Norway, Saxony-Poland-Lithuania and Russia. They managed to subdue both the Commonwealth and Denmark, before Russia fought back, and Karl was killed, possibly by his own troops.

Are there any memorable conflicts that stand out in your mind?
