This is a Plain Jane Deathmatch, and it's purpose is to ease people into the unfamiliar waters that is the chaos of the TimmyB tournament. Come into it with an open mind and a willingness to meet new people and friends, just like your first days of GOIO!

Week 1 Format and Setup
standard deathmatch
all ships, all weapons allowed
3v3
individual ship points for kills & assists: 10 points a kill, 5 for an assist. Assists are awarded if another ship penetrated or aided with explosive damage on the kill.
all 3v3 map pool; randomly chosen before the game by a dice roll.
5 minutes lobby time, 30 minutes game time
7 victory points to each winning ship, x sad points for each losing ship (x being the team’s total kills)

Sign-ups must be entered by 12:00 PM EDT Saturday, 9/18!

Finally, you can volunteer to "merc" in your sign-up. By "merc-ing" you make yourself available for a second match with no chance for points (basically for fun). This is a backup way of filling another lobby if we have sign-ups greater than six, but not enough to fill a second match.
