Minotaur chargable shots

<< < (3/4) > >>

Dementio:
Imagine fighting a Goldfish that has an Hwacha or any other ship with guns that destroys heavy gun with ease. How many shots do you get to charge before your gun is gone? If the current push is strong enough to keep ships at bay even in close range, then you don't need to charge them. If the current push is not enough and would be the strength of an uncharged shot then I don't see you being able to charge a shot before it is too late.

I like the basic idea though, it also enables the gunner to outsmart an enemy pilot since a pilot can currently time the shots and active kero/moonshine minimize the minotaurs push force.
Maybe instead of a bigger push you would get more projectile speed and maybe a small damage increase? Sniping components at range with the current minotaur won't happen and on its own the Minotaur isn't much more than a nuisance.

That chargable shot idea could work for other guns too, but it could also lead to a replacement of Lesmok rounds, making the gunner less necessary.

Chargable Harpoons!

I'm suggesting stamina because the mechanics are already there.
it naturally recharges and is used at a press of a button.

writing out a whole new mechanic that functions exactly the same is kinda wasteful.

1. Makes no sense to be a stamina thing.

2. You don't know how coding works, do you? This entire idea is a new mechanic. What you use to push the button to make it go is painting the bike shed.

BlackenedPies:
It would make more sense to charge it by holding down the button and allowing the shot to "absorb" other shots in the clip. It's an interesting idea but there are no mechanics for it or through stamina. Another option is replacing the zoom function.

Koali:
Technically speaking Charged Rounds are already a thing 8)

Muse needs to get on this.

You'd be surprised how often I find myself thinking this.

I keep assuming its the ignorant teen in me (you know that phase in your life  where you think all your ideas were profound and original), but no... people actually never thought to consider the possibilities.

The thought makes me sad.
