Burning Skies Saloon
Skyraider:
*Skyraider walks back in, limping, with a scroll in his arms. He sets the scroll down and opens it, revealing a well-drawn out plane*
"This is the idea I had while flying what used to be my biplane donated from the Yeshan Empire. Instead of going for the maneuverability of biplane, it goes for speed. And with airships, they can simply out run flak."
*Stares at his paper, then speaks up again*
"Problem is finding a suitable engine... and retractable landing gear so I don't end up ripping them off while in high speeds."
Honeybadger:
--Passanger Ship Close to Docks--
*A crack is heard over the intercom system*
*In a shrill voice the Captain is heard*
Uhh, Attention passengers due to unforeseen circumstances we will have to land at the nearest dock, We'll be up in the air in 6 hours time.
*The passengers groan once they hear this*
YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!
*The passengers continued to complain until they reached the docks*
*The now angry mob continued to pout while they exited the aircraft*
*While exiting Honeybadger glanced at his watch which he kept in his coat sighing*
Well, time Isn't a problem anymore I suppose.
*After a short walk down the street he saw a man running and panting hurriedly with something in his arms*
*Upon turning around he saw a plane that was caught ablaze, he quickly raised both of his eyebrows and almost let go of his suitcase*
I think I need a drink...
BdrLineAzn:
*BdrLine, hearing about Sky and his project, goes over to him and looks at the plans*
Sky i think I can help you out on this. Think you can bring your plane to my warehouse?
Skyraider:
*Hears BdrLine and replies*
"Thanks for the offer, but I have a private airstrip that has spare parts lying around. What I really need is for you to go out and find an engine capable of pulling 370 mph in the air."
Yiski:
*Yiski fills another mug with the Hellfire tap and hands it to BdrLine.*
A single-manned biplane, huh? I've been hearing things about those from the workers and some engineers. Didn't figure they start testing prototypes so soon without those variables handled.
*Yiski thinks to himself.*
If they're rushing this development, it has to do something with raiders. They're not a threat to warships, but throw an civilian vessel and it's a whole new game.
*Meanwhile upstairs in the saloon, Roland was also admiring the new room. He then looked back to Ny-Lee.*
Well, the room is pretty, but nothing compared to you darling.
*A blush came over Ny-Lee.*
As far as a little physical training... I think I could benefit from it.
*Roland realized the saloon started to get busy because the two could hear all the commotion downstairs.*
Huh, I guess there were people waiting for the saloon to reopen. *Roland then takes a look at Ny-Lee who is looking around the room still.* Heavens, to think I would ever meet a girl like Ny-Lee, let alone be engaged to her. *His mind then suddenly makes a leap of logic* With the noise, Ny-Lee and I could.... oh heaven what am I thinking!?
*Roland is staring at his finance when she turns her gaze back on him. This causes Roland to quickly avert his eyes from her, all the while blushing and Ny-Lee looking on him inquisitively.*
*Back downstairs, Yiski notices Connor is missing from the couch.*
By the skies, got another drunk man on the loose. See I got a bleeding and reckless Sky with a drunk man wandering around? Yup, definitely home.
