Verdun Tournament

Not quite a GOIO thing, but I need some support from the community here. For any familiar with Verdun, they are starting a tournament soon. I applaud their devs for taking the initiative in getting their competitive scene rolling. I've always been frustrated with the GOIO devs lack of interest in taking control of their competitive scene or promoting it.

Wasn't the last time Muse took control of the competitive, the time it pretty much fell apart? What was it...back during Cogs 2 or going into 3 they were trying to unite everything under Keyvias or something. Just turned into a mess.

My one pet peev about Verdun...they are always loading up huge updates. I barely get one done and then another gets added. It is nice they are updating a lot but playing the game just gets problematic when you always have to update.

That's true, but it is in beta. The tournament is actually to celebrate them going official, so hopefully the big updates will slow down. And ya that whole 'fabrica' thing was a mess, mostly because it tried to be too big and complicated. I just wish they would give us a little more support in events and getting MLG to be a bigger presence. it would help them as much as the youtuber sales. I like the look of this Verdun thing because it's as simple as it can be.

I might be wrong, but I think MLG pulled out of GoI, didn't they? We only had one or two MLG tournaments since we were brought on board, and nothing has happened with them for months now

I don't know, Leto was leading on that, but I haven't seen or heard from him either, even with my ready to go TimmyB season 2. I was willing to help with that, because I honestly believe esport viewership keeps a game fresh and topical. Regardless, this is about Verdun. We can start another discussion about MLG.
