The Love - Hate Thread.

Mr. Goggles:
What are some of the things in GoIO that you absolutely hate–that you might leave the game for? What kinds of things are awesome enough to keep you here day after day? Be descriptive. Maybe tell a story or two.

For me:

Hate  >:( How appealingly overpowered Carronades are. Not only because of their direct damage, but also because of their ability to increase crew ineffectiveness by constantly pulling engineers away from other tasks. Also, the people that don't use mics. It can be a bit frustrating at times.

Love  :) The wonderfully humorous crowd of GoIO. The atmosphere of the game creates an environment in which people's humor can be the only thing keeping us all sane when the explosions are recking the hull and a flamer is setting everything alight. Also, the dedicated dev team working to satisfy every member of the community to the best of their ability. I've only been here for a few weeks, and already I can see how caring the Muse team is. It appears to me that GoIO is their baby–their only baby, and that makes me happy. I can rest comfortably knowing that I can come back to a game each day that is still watched over and worked on.

David Dire:
Hate: 100% Unrealistic Airships. In real life these things could never even glide.

Love: Interesting Airship structures. The Mobula may be unrealistic as can be, but it's a super fun take on Zeppelins.

Haha, true! But I love how ridiculous it is. I think that is what makes it enjoyable. The idea of just finding some old pirate ship and hooking a giant balloon on it sounds absolutely ineffective. But who cares! It looks wonderful.
