Rebuilding

DJ Logicalia:
Ok. So a bunch of patches ago, Muse fixed (or changed) the speed that you can swing a tool by simply holding down the mouse button. Previously, you have to click at breakneck speeds to rebuild parts quickly. If you held down the mouse, you're dead because its too slow.

Now, it seems, you can hold down the mouse or spam click and it gets you the same result: a quickly rebuillt part. However,  I've heard people swear by spam clicking and say that holding down the mouse is slower.

I think it's fair to say I have a pretty decent amount of engi experience and I haven't noticed a difference in either method.

Does anyone have numbers on this? Or anecdotal experience, that's fine to

Many of the top guys learned in the spam click days. So it's what they do now.
I remember being strongly advised by exterminator once to never hold the mouse- but to spam click.
Who knows ;o

Indreams:
When I first started, I spam clicked and alternated tools. It felt like it made rebuilds faster.

I don't think spam clicking makes significant difference now, but I do it anyways out of habit.

Crafeksterty:
I still spam click at times, but it is still faster. But not worthile.
You can hold the mouse down and youl be half a second slower or less slower. Which isnt worthile or warranting of spam clicking. To me atleast. So hold away.

David Dire:
I believe the first time you hold down click for a constant click, there's a slight .7-ish second delay that you don't get in Spam clicking.
