Blossoming Colosseum - GoIO Spring Seasonal Sign Ups!

<< < (5/7) > >>

Steve CZ:
Also, will this take only one weekend, or more?

Thomas:
Sorry, that was my bad. In the full description of the entire tournament, it was mentioned that the finals would be an all-or-nothing sort of deal. So if the team that hasn't lost yet loses in the finals, they just straight up lose.

Since I failed to carry it over to this thread, we'll go on the assumption that there will in fact be a J match. This may or may not change with future seasons, we'll see how everyone feels about it after this season.

In theory we can do it all in one day assuming we get 3-4 streamers. Right now we currently have 2-3 (3 if I'm able to stream). Then we have about 2 refs right now, and it shouldn't be difficult to get some others.

We're looking at '30' minutes for each round max. So if things go long, it'll look like this.

3 Streamers
A, D, E (30 minutes)
B, C, K (1 hour)
F, L, M (1.5 hours)
G, N (2 hours)
 H, O (2.5 hours)
P (3 hours)
Q (3.5 hours)
I (4 hours)
J (4.5 hours)

Assuming I mostly did that right. Realistically we're probably looking around 3 hours. If things get crazy delayed, we can move the last few matches to next Saturday, or even Sunday before or after the SCS. Whichever the last few teams are most comfortable with. However, I think 1 day should be just fine.

Edit: I did a rundown for 4 streamers, but I messed up. It ends up being the same length as 3 streamers. Thanks go to Skrimskraw, and the fault is blamed on lack of sleep.

Rhythm Rogue:
Even without including lobby times, technical difficulties and such, assuming you can get it all done in three hours is awfully optimistic. I can't speak for anybody else but my team will start losing crew even before the three hour mark. I must request we do it in two days.

Thomas:
If the surviving teams have concerns about the time as we proceed, we'll be more than happy to stretch it out to the following Saturday.

Although the SCS has managed to complete this in a single day with the same number of teams before.

Thomas:
Match J: Water Hazard

(somehow to forgot to put this when I initially talked about it. Totally professional)

Then to answer some questions I got about badges and subs. Once you win the tournament, you'll PM a reasonable list of names for people to get badges. I'll check the videos to make sure these people were actually in the competition of course. If you have someone participate in only one match, even if it's not the final match, they can still get a badge. If some of your normal crew can't make it this day, but you still want them to get a badge, that might be a little more difficult. Ideally only those who participate can get a badge, but I don't really see a problem with this. However, if they get a badge, they're still barred from participating in the other seasons up until the Champion Tournament. Just try to keep it reasonable.
