Carn:
(Ingur) grabs carbine "Koali, unless you are going to buy that, hands off the merchandise."
(Carn) "Seriously man, not cool. For one thing, that thing was freaking heavy, and another, why would you shoot that guy down? He wasn't attacking!"
Koali:
"Hands off the...? What, the Lumberjack? No, I used mine, yours is still on the Valkyrie."
*Climbs aboard the downed Squid.*
"Well, what do you know! There wasn't any crew!"
"..."
"Wait..."
Carn:
(Dude, its on the ships deck, how the heck do you expect to one guy to get a lumberjack through a tavern door)
(Carn) "Doesn't explain why you'd shoot down a non-hostile ship, and what do you mean no crew?"
(Ingur) "Squids aren't equipped for sustainable voyages, they run out of power to quick. Someone has to set the course, and steer it."
Koali:
Gonna fix my post! Iunno, maybe all this chaos I'm causing is starting to get to me.
"Nobody here. No crew, nothing. The helm has no wheel, and the guns have no handles. Everything that would be manned has a little wind-up box stuck to it, and everything else has a repair spider crawling all over it!"
Carn:
(Mind containing the chaos a schmidge? I'm trying to go on a cohesive plot line here)
(Carn) "Again, that doesn't explain WHY YOU WOULD SHOOT IT DOWN."
(Ingur) taking out a small whistle she blows into it, this whistle is often used by those who are familiar with this variety of automaton. The frequency is one that they respond to. Hearing the whistle all the spiders nearby, including the ones from the chest line up in front of her. Giving the ones from the others back, she begins to examine the one from the ship "These things are low on power, by the looks of them and the ship. They're all thats been keeping it in the air for awhile now."
