(Promethus was punished by the gods for giving the gift of knowledge to man...he was cast into the bowels of the earth to be pecked by birds...)

(Also the blue matter is based on...blue matter...from the Walterverse. The three singing animatronics are based on them aswell.)

The reason for calling it "The Prometheus" is because Prometheus brought fire to the humans.
The Prometheus Heavy Flamethrower is built to bring the fire to your enemies.
