Shaded is flying behind Koali Iron Man style, mainly because it looks cool, but there's a virtually silent rotorpack on his back.

Koali:
"How are you even able to keep up?"

ShadedExalt:
"I'm a better engineer than you, obviously."

Koali:
"It doesn't have to be a competition! ...but while we're at it, I might as well have some fun."

And with that, Koali extended wings from his rocket pack, allowing him to have his thrusters parallel to his trajectory rather than 45 degrees for optimal lift-to-thrust ratio. This granted him almost double the speed he had before.
