"Aye, i've been through her before, tricky place to fly in. And my name is Carn Gormson former sergeant in the Anglean special forces."

Holds out his hand to shake George's hand

[George Mills]

He shakes Carn's hand.
"Anyway, I was going salvaging the labyrinth, and I saw this thing. It looked like a goldfish, but without a balloon. So, naturally I look inside, and I find this whole stash of stuff I've never seen before. It must have been hundreds of year old. It's where I found this..."
He shows Carn a coin, with the year 1912 imprinted on it.
"You have any idea what it means?"

[Carn]

raking his brains on the numbers he snaps his fingers

"I've got it, the great war started at a time called 1914, they called them years not annums back then.  That coin must've been minted 2 years before the great war."

[George Mills]

"That makes sense...how much do you think it's worth?"

[Carn]

"Don't know, there are some people who pay major coin for anything intact from before the great war, even if its just a coin.  I honestly don't know anyone personally, however when we get up to Kinforth i can talk to some contacts of mine, they may know someone."

[George Mills]

"Alright, I found some other stuff too, take a took."
I open my satchel and take out books, and trinkets, I stop when I come to an iron cross.
"Look at this, makes you wonder what it was for, doesn't it..."

[Carn]

unable to get a good look at the size of it Carn asks

"How big is that? Find anything else near it that may indicate what its for?"

[George Mills]

He holds it up to Carn
"It's a few inches either way, I found some notes too"
"Some guy called Adolf something owned it...I think it's some sort of medal."

[George Mills]

"I think the notes are still on my junker, I'll be right back"
He returns a few minutes later
"Yeah, I don't speak whatever language this is, but I think it was owned by this Adolf Guy...found this as well."
He holds up a gasmask
"It's similar to mine"

[Carn]

"Some old war medal i suppose, I've seen similar symbols used in a variety of pre-war items and places.  As for the gasmask, they started being used in the great war, back then it came to the point where they would launch these chemicals at each other, those masks were all that kept the soldiers from death.  A particularly nasty one too."

[George Mills]

"Wow, and I thought a dust storm was bad...how do you know so much about the old world?"

[Carn]

"A lot of old tech was preserved in Anglea, just not a lot of raw materials, why do you think so many of us raid? Anyways i've found it useful to look at the past to understand the future, history has a way of repeating itself.  A few old manuals back in Anglea, plus one very lucky day at the imperial library in Chang-ning, and i've picked up a lot about pre-war stuff

"I wish I had access to the information that you did. I mean, I know there was a war, but I'm not even sure when it was..."

[Carn]

"Roughly 300 annums ago, humanity is finally crawling back ever since Gabriel created the Icarus."

[George Mills]

"It still amazed me today that..."
 Something inside his pocket begins to beep, he takes it out
"There's a Dust storm approaching..."
