Koali:
"Yeah, and Spades. I think I'll try and tell them to shut up and get out of my head."

*Thinking really loudly:* "CARN AND SPADES, SHUT UP AND GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!"

Carn:
(Carn) hearing Koali carn shouts back "STOP EAVESDROPPING!"

Koali:
*Eyes widen in shock.*

"What the hell?!?!?! They can hear me!"

*Thinking really hard:* "I can't help it, you're in my head! How did you get there?"

For story purposes I don't know about the telepathy.

Carn:
(Carn) "Oh for Pete's sake, Koali, Spades has mind powers remember? We were having a private conversation."

(Gunhild) "Someone want to get the little guy some water? He seems like he's going through some issues."
