So what happened to adventure?

I haven't been following development of adventure mode, but I was hoping there would be more updates from kickstarter. Last I heard was almost 2 years ago now, what happened to it?

I've tried to find more information about it's current status but I can't find anything.

Imagine:
The first part to Adventure Mode, Co-op mode, is currently in testing and *should* be out sometime later the year.
