It would actually be more useful since in addition to your own crew you could also distract enemies with a snowball fight.

Ahh the christmas truce, what a story, and so many conspiracy theories behind it! :o

I say replace all weapon projectiles with snowballs! Lumberjacks would be the exception... they'd shoot Snowmen.
