Yeah, it would seem more realistic to damage armor because of the insane shear stress from having a ship turn so fast.

I always thought of pilots tools as modifications to the ship itself. The Claw is particular gearing system that links your engines for more wibbly woobly whatever.

That is likely why they removed the holdable item. It made no sense.

Are we really talking about realism in a game where you can fix things by smacking them with a pipe wrench? :P
