I don't use kick (because we don't have it). If I get a troll on my ship, I just leave. I am sure that does not hurt matchmaking at all. In fact, I left the same half-filled, over stacked lobby three times in a row yesterday that MM kept tossing me into, despite me telling it I only wanted 2v2. Finally, I got sick of it and waited for the timer to count down and left just as the match started. Not sure what my level 1 pilot thought of that, as he never said a word.
Unless I have friends in the lobby, if a crew member is unreasonable, I just leave. Nothing invested in being tossed in random matches, so no guilt felt in leaving. I don't have time to play games that are not fun.
