Ok, now that I've been on the game for 22 hours or so, I feel more eligible to answer some these questions. :P

Better, not entirely, but this community is definitely on par with others I'm apart of (SWBFGamers forum, Pixel Gun 3D Forum). Very helpful, and very welcoming. :)

8. Favourite map overall. -- A tossup between Raid and Fjords, but I'll lean towards Raid.  I prefer maps where flying trumps fighting.

10. Favourite ship build -- Squid with carronade, flamer, mortar.  Punches above its weight, gets caught by nothing.

21. Have you found a better community than GOIO?  As far as online gaming, no.  I've had great guilds in MMOs but the overall community was still toxic.

Not particularly, 'm sure my opinion will change the more I'm exposed to the community's seedy underbelly.

Kouhei Sakurai:
1. Favourite ship to fly. (Not including the build.) Squid, simply because I love its mobility and the way it looks.
2. Favourite ship to engineer on. Oddly enough, Spire. It's pretty exhilarating when things get hectic. 
3. Favourite light gun. Flamethrower, because it feels very satisfying when the shots connect. Gatling is a close second. (And it's easy to aim.)
4. Favourite heavy gun. Hwacha, because it's the most satisfying weapon to use.
5. Favourite gun overall. Flamethrower.
6. Favourite 2v2 map Paritan Rumble, simply because it looks absolutely gorgeous. I don't recall winning any matches there though.
7. Favourite larger than 2v2 only map.(Ones you see on 3v3 and 4v4.) Haven't played any matches above 2v2 yet ><
8. Favourite map overall. Paritan Rumble/Labyrinth.
9. Favourite ammo type. Lesmok. Simple and effective.
10. Favourite ship build Close-range Junker/Goldfish/Squid (i.e. those with gatlings/mortars/carronades/flamethrowers)
11. Favourite headwear. (Include gender) Aviator cap (both genders). Amelie (female hairdo) deserves special mention because it's probably a reference to the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, and I love that film.
12. Favourite outfit. (Include gender.) Dust Rider (female). Very versatile and can conceivably fit all three roles, plus it's gorgeous to begin with.
13. Favourite Goggles (does that have a gender??) Aviator goggles
14. Favourite ship theme. Industrial. I'm a sucker for steampunk stuff. 
15. Favourite figurehead. Angel. I would have picked the Eagle if it didn't hang oddly on some ships.
16. Would you rather, Deathmatch, King of the Hill or Crazy king. Deathmatch, because thus far every game I've had with a non-DM game mode ends in a complete curbstomp.
17. Rank in order of preference, Pilot, Gunner and Engineer.  Engineer, gunner, pilot. I would rank pilot higher than gunner when I'm confident that I can actually pull it off. (Besides, if I want to shoot, gungi is great fun as well.)
18. Buffgi/Gunji or Main? All of them, in all honesty.
19. Lion gun OP? What's that? (Pardon me for being a noob.)

21. Have you found a better community than GOIO? Yes, but only because it's larger. Thus far I have an excellent impression of the community here.
