I don't join clans. When a random player is flying with me I don't want them to think that I would rather be flying with someone else, or that they should make room if a member of my clan shows up and asks for their spot. These things are implied when there is a clan tag next to your name, even if they are not true. Even the lowest powder monkey is welcome on my ship so long as they obey my orders without question or delay.

I have never come across folks who think that. Most often people are either interested in the clan to join or they see clan tag and think "oh this won't be easy." Course with the number of clans in game that don't do anything, folks have to actually look up the clan to determine if you are a serious player or not.

I think that. I accept that clan business trumps my business. When I see a clan member in the spectator of a game that matches the clan tag of the captain I am under, I ask the captain if they want me to swap with the person in spectate. I know you guys have to practice for tournies or get new members up to snuff.

Flight of the Icarus is like the single player proof of concept for Guns of Icarus. It plays like an arcade shooter, only you have to run between guns as the targets leave your gun arcs. There is also a repair system but it is not a deep as the one in the current game.
