DJ Logicalia:
I don't watch a lot of anime, but I just finished Parasyte: The Maxim. It was tense and cool and I loved it. To cool off, though, I watched all of Donyatsu! in one sitting.
Parasyte gets an 8/10 but Donyatsu! easily gets a 10/10
Squidslinger Gilder:
Last season has some of the worst endings ever. Parasyte was probably one of the only few that actually stayed good and ended good. Saekano was another. Cross Ange, I'd give partial credit to. Garo...so-so. Course Garo everyone was pissed at what happened with Lara. You see her in the closing scenes like she'd be a prominent character but then they did the opposite.
Besides Reconguista...Absolute Duo, Fafner, Dog Days 3, and a few others were just horrible. Some of them started good but just fell apart at the end. The most disappointing of all was Yoru no Yatterman. It was such a brilliant show where the good guys became bad guys and the bad guys had to fight the good guys to save everyone. But the ending...ugg. Between reusing animation shots to just poor writing. It was like the entire series had fantastic writers but then the ending they ran out of money and hired some hick off the street then figured no one would notice them reusing animation sequences 2-3x in a row.

I actually finished watching the Aldnoah.Zero series the other day (unless they are planning to make a third season). The ending was, actually decent. I was expecting something a bit more dramatic or something to pull at the heartstrings a bit, but I didn't really feel it.
Granted, I've seen better endings to good animes, but this was one sub-par. Would I watch it again? Probably yeah, I already have all the episodes downloaded. :P

Yeah ANZ's ending was just kinda...blah. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't super great either. It was a bit of a shame because ANZ continually performed and brought fantastic episodes one after another during it's 2 season run.
Heh, in a way ANZ's ending is just like it's protagonist. Some emotions but generally just moving on with poker face.
Well in other news, Eva creator is co-directing the next Godzilla. Half the world now sheds tears of joy, the other half cries in terror as we can only imagine the horrific trauma he's going to inflict upon the characters. All I can say is...we better not have to sit through a movie where Godzilla is throwing a pity party every 5 mins. Cause then for once I'll root for the humans to win, not Godzilla.

Perfect summary of the ending. But yeah, I kind of felt that the episodes in their entirety were great, just the ending was decent. Overall though, still a good series.
Say, does anyone watch Log Horizon still? I gave up around episode 6 of the second season (not enough action was happening so I dropped it), but I am curious to hear if the action increased shortly afterwards. If it's still carrying the same tone, I might just avoid all of Season 2 altogether.
