Gilder, my point is that this mechanic already exists, I don't expect it to become a viably deliberately used tactic, I merely want it to be more possible than it is now to use when such rare opportunity arises that you have arc on a mine above an enemy ship.

When it happens its awesome, its not common, currently it is EXTREMELY difficult and rare to pull off, I just want it to be QUITE difficult and become an uncommon occurrence.

Such vehemence, Gilder. Chill. I was responding to an earlier guy that said it took a full light carro clip, and another that said heavy carro is the only way to clear a minefield. Just clarifying HP and damage.

Trying to shoot down mines is a bit of a silly main tactic on offense and defense. I clear minefields with hwachas.

But, seriously, the mine hitboxes do need fixing. Aiming right at them will most often shoot right through them. The hitbox does not line up with the visual. The mine should also have less HP. One missile should easily destroy one.
