Remove the clan chat window!

Can you please remove the clan chat window and just post the clan-msgs into the match window (similar to party-chat-msgs)?
Currently I don't use the clan chat because people don't see new clan msgs popping up in a different window. Also I do focus on the match chat and will miss msgs in the clan-window most of the time.

I don't agree with clan messages going to match window but the chat system could do with a little rework. Like, it should be customizable. I made a brief suggestion to muse about it but I think if I can flesh it out and explain it better, they might see the system better!
Basically, you can define what message is displayed in the tab. Create a tab/delete and stuff.
So you could do something like
Global, Match, Clan, PM for tabs
Then select what information you want to displayed in the tab.
So You could do something like..
Global Chat
Clan Chat
Match Chat
Team Chat
Crew Chat
PM Chat
Party Chat
Friends Login/Logout
Clan Login/Logout
Clan Joins/Quits (the different is people leaving and joining the clan)
Match Damage - (It be nice to actually see this in chat instead of top right, knowing when a balloon goes it useful to me)
Signals
System Notification (Server wide message and the like, should be on across all tabs as fixed anyway but still useful to display that)
(Just in case someone's browser can't handle unicode

☐ - unticked box.)
An example customisation for me would be:

While someone else might not want a PM tab but they might want a Signals + Crew + team chat only. So it would look like this for them

And this should also affect the in game chat as well. Only they should be able to cycle thou the tabs using key binding (tab while chat is active?) and based on the options selected for the tab, the key to activate the chat should show up for that.. for example, if I were to use Clan chat, then the options to send a chat to crew/team/match/party is allowed.
Finally, A tabshould get highlighted when it receive new updates, highlighted colours changed according to the type of information received. For a example, chat like messages - Red, Quit/Joins/login/logout - Pale Yellow, System Messages - Green. Or whatever colours best match the GoIO theme :)

For clans that are very big, this is usefull. But i would like to have a notification on the clan chat notifying there has been said something. Like a feint glow or something like the red dot if someone new joins the clan, just a red dot on the clan button chat. Click it, and then it dissapiers assuming you are up to date on that.
Imagine:
Afaik the problem with doing something like that, Abby, is the steam chat system is incredibly simple and cannot be set up in such a way.

With a sane default, most people may never bother with changing the settings. For some people, like me, would. I've often do that to a lot of MMO that has custom chat settings like I listed above. Another thing is it makes it very flexible for adding new chats in the future.. say.. in the future GoIO has gotten really popular (I HOPE!) and decide to add a region chat and divide people up a bit more.. which in turn they could add a region vs region scoring and stuff.
