Out of curiosity..... (LARP)

<< < (3/8) > >>

HamsterIV:
I have been lurking electricsamurai.com so I have heard of the Croatian park. The fact there are other LARP groups in other countries does not surprise me. They actually have a historical record that goes back that far. It was a bigger surprise for me was that  Southern California has a LARP community.

Also Terrkas, your garb and weapons look fantastic. I don't read German but the website looks very good too. What ever your group is doing it is obviously doing it right. I need to post pictures of my newer garb what I have are old pictures from when I first joined.

Terrkas:
Thank you. I think in Germany the LARPer prefer weapons, that look more like real weapons. If you want I can link some shoppages, I guess you will not be able to understand what the names of the weapons are (except "Zweihänder"), but most of them are looking really nice.

HamsterIV:
There are different rule sets with different requirements for look and safety. I play Amtgard which has safety requirements like "tips and pommels may not pass more than half an inch through a 2-inch hole" so many of the realistic looking weapons would be illegal where I play. Also I have made all my weapons from pool noodle, tape, golf club shaft, and cloth covers.  I have used plastidip LARP swords before when we had a visitor from another game, but have not tried to make/purchase one for my own use. In all honesty I play the game because I like hitting people with sticks not roll playing.

Goldenglade:
I love the A & S side of things but i love beating people with sticks more ^.^ also recently i overthrew the monarchy because.... politics.... so :P yay paperwork.

Terrkas:
What is A & S? I am not used to that shortcut.
