We also have our own weekly variety show event, and being in a team is not a requirement for participating.

Swallow, I just thought I'd mention a few things.

-The two groups are called Merry Northern Storm and Northern Air Fleet.
-The flare gun has a range of 600 metres before it stops. Clouds have no effect on when it stops moving.
-The W in Wagner is pronounced like a V.
-The Pyra isn't squishy (I think you said that it is, correct me if I'm wrong).

Have a good day :D

Actually Sunderland, my understanding is the flare moves until it hits a cloud, then stops!

Really? I thought the spire got a significant buff, what makes it weaker?

Well physics still changed for it despite the turned gun, so maybe that's what they are talking about.

Even with the godlike skills, crew will not be able to use a third gun on Spire.
Its lower part spire now palpable and now touches the barriers that had previously ignored.
Its maneuverability is worse because of the increased mass.

Wait a minute, I used the third gun all day today. Not that hard to run back and forth from the helm and the gun or call up the engineer when not being targeted.

I personally really enjoy the new Spire.

With one of the two proper weapons loaded on the right top gun, the trifecta is pretty easily obtained.  It's just that the Spire can't run away.

At close range you can not leave the helm and even more so hull. The spire is losing armor in 4.5 seconds of firing Gatling and falling apart with volley of flak cannon. If an engineer sitting on hull, it will give you an even 2.2 seconds.
At long range it better, but you still can be destroyed long-range guns, as the Spire profile that is easy to get into.
In addition, leaving the helm you can not adjust the direction, and thus lose the ability to shoot.
In short, it is only good for games against inexperienced pilots.

Didn't the spire get used against MNS recently? I'm sorry, but even with all the dramatics lately, I'm not about to call Zill an inexperienced pilot.

Edit: got it, you're talking about the pilot leaving the helm to attempt a trifecta. That's no good. Engineers would have to do it or it's not worth doing.

It did not. Most recent for cogs was an artemis junker and a galleon.

Like it or not, that 2nd top gun is for the pilot. Spire is too squishy to have the bottom engie trek up there and then start taking fire. Problem is unless you are a long way out, your spire gets focused rather quickly. This pretty much negates any chance of you using it in short-mid range.

Alternatively you could just put a piercing + explosive combo and have gungeneer man them both, one at the time and have pilot and main engineer man the other only when you have time to man the other. - simmilar to having pryra hull engi do trifecta with bottom front gun in 1.1.4 or 1.1.5
