The Cogs league is based quite fittingly on cogs. There are several different rotating cogs, each containing several teams. The top cog holds the #1 seeded team, the second cog the next three teams, the following cog the next few, etc. Each week, the lowest-seeded team from a cog plays the highest-seeded team from the cog below it. If the team from the lower cog wins, it breaks into the cog above. After the weekly games, each cog rotates. This means that another team will go to the bottom of the cog, another will go to the top, and others will take a break, all in a sequential order.
