Hubert, I believe you got it wrong,

GMT should be 12pm - 2pm
CET (GMT +1) should be 1pm - 3 pm

Is there a daylight savings time in the mix somewhere? - there is, isn't there.  EST is currently on EDT according to the tool you list, that throws me out by an hour..

Umm, at the moment it is 13:24 (2:24 PM) in CET, this shows me that currently it should be 8:24 AM EST which is the same the previous tool showed.

I hate timezones so much :D

And as far as daylight saving time goes, it shouldn't be worrying us, it's still "winter" everywhere (on northern hemispehere).

Eastern Daylight Savings Time kicked in on 10th March.. aarghh.. why so much earlier than the rest of the northern hemisphere? oh well.. some time in the next 3 hours is a safe bet..

This states it is 8:40 in Boston (EDT)

DST in Europe starts in 9 days (end of March)

I just realized, if you check the first link of mine, you can see that the rows are actually EST / EDT and CET / CEST (current timezone bold)
