Unfortunately it seems that they're not off to the best of starts. The 1.3.3 notes were posted everywhere but the forum.

TBH what you're seeing is the fact most people don't want to make a forum account for every game they play
In my experience - the steam hub by virtue of not requiring a second login picks up some traffic, facebook/twitter for the same reason (account already exists).
I did suggest moving a lot of stuff into the game a while back because of this - you don't need to set up yet another pass/user.

The forums use the same username/password combo you set up for logging into the game, no? There's no additional account creation required.
