oh god I could have used this thread today... probably yesterday as well
We should have a thread for general random funny stuff anyways.
I was about to link quite a few threads, but then I remembered you guys aren't Cakes and don't share the same unending love of all things fire.
I'm sorry, but as a non cake, I think I can safely say that we all love fire.
I'm afraid I must disagree. Fire is a curious obsession, one which can be harmful for many to have. Humankind's relationship with fire is one of fear and invention, channelled through ingenuity of using it as a tool, whether it be to light up the dark or tenderise meat. But the earliest cavemen still knew that fire was a dangerous tool. Fire hurts, it is a weapon. To love fire is to love guns, to love guns is to love death, to love death is to hate life. As a tool, to love fire is to love the spade or pitchfork. While this is alright as an extension of love for human ingenuity, which is truly something to be celebrated, fire as a being itself is not. Better to love humankind, whose use of this catastrophic and destructive element is ingenious, then to praise the element itself, which is inherently destructive. Of course, if destruction is what you crave and wish to celebrate, then you are likely subject to many a psychological condition.
So what exactly is it that Cake loves, destruction itself or human genius?
