A working compass in your HUD

I'm gonna keep this short and brief because there is not much to say about.
I, and I'm probably not the only one would love to have a working compass on the HUD.
For example; a Galleon needs to line up straight to a ship to fire upon it, it would be really helpful if you could say "x degrees port captain" so he knows exactly how big the turn has to be for his crew members to unleash all hell on deck of other ships.

I hope more people will feel this way, it would add more depth to the already amazing game.

You can work out X degrees to port/starboard from the current compass.

Really? Where can I find this compass, because I don't seem to have it.

It's at the top of the screen.
