Post-apocaliptic nature style
« on: May 01, 2013, 01:50:16 pm »
Excuse me if you have suggestion like this already - i didn't find topic with it.
Perhaps it will be nice to see not only the dark side of apocalipse, but something 'positive' (as positive as it could be). For example, new map - labyrinth has great sense of design - this picture of destructed city looks really impressive. But what about adding few colours in such a  dusty world? Have you watched 'I am Legend'? I really like this amount of trees, grass growing through skyscrapers and asphalt roads.

It looks deserted, but give feels of the active life that was here 100 years ago. Sorry for grammar mistakes :D

Definitely agree- I love the atmosphere and style that most post-apocalyptic scenarios give, but they are always ash/debris/smog sort of stuff. I love it when nature finds a way to survive, and lush greens occupy ruins.

Oasis-Grove in Fallout 3 was one of the most memorable quests in that game... simply because it was so foreign to the land that it stood out as even more beautiful in comparison.

There will actually be some parts of the world that's still fertile, the place I'd bet most on being the Island of Chaladon (to the east) http://i.imgur.com/jVubc.jpg

Here we'll hopefully see some of natures wonders preserved
