Verdict: we got an official "those were annoying as hell" from the Merry Men, but there wasn't enough fire.

Were they incendiary mines? Or just normal mines?
James T. Kirk:
Incendiary mines don't travel far due to the reduced projectile speed, so they work best for SUPER close-quarters.
Mostly lesmok and burst mines were shot.
That being said, I think the Galleon ran into one of my incendiaries >:D.
