RearAdmiralZill:
I thought it was when you lost sight of someone, and that's the last known location for a few seconds.

This may very well be the case and would certainly make sense.  There must be someone on the forums dev or otherwise that can say definitively

.

I thought yellow was just for allied ships.  Could be wrong.

RearAdmiralZill:
And before we take this in the wrong direction:

Only thing 2v2v2 would bother me over is one team letting the other 2 kill each other, than taking advantage of it. While smart, it would be an odd tactic to see.

Captain Smollett:
I don't think the format is appropriate for tournaments or competitive play but it would create really chaotic melees which I think might be fun for newer players as well as change things up a bit for vets.  It would really change the game dynamic as the first team to let's say 7 kills wins.  If your team died 9 times but you played incredibly aggressively you could still win.  It would also create bizarre tactics where if you and another team were firing on one enemy you might wait a moment to fire the kill shots so you could time it that you had the last one.  You'd also have to decide whether to shoot the enemy you're shooting or turn to the enemy that was shooting you.

Basically it would be a totally different game play experience, which in and of itself gives the idea merit in my opinion.

RearAdmiralZill:
We have officially found a proper use for the quickjoin button.

"Press."

"Inserts into a FFA game."
