Cloud Kings Tournament
Surette:
Yeah I don't see how waking up at 4 am is any better than staying up until 3... sounds worse to me actually haha, but I'm a night person.
dragonmere:
This pleases me greatly.
I am unfortunately still going to be unavailable. I work 1-10pm EST weekends far too often to commit to this event. ( I actually have a meeting with my management scheduled today to discuss the crap-ness of my schedule. Hopefully I'll be on for weekend events soon enough, although I'm not holding my breath. ::) )
However, if there is anything a lowly brand-new CA with no actual power or authority could do to help you, just ask and I will do my best.
I wish you luck with your tournament!
Ofiach:
Well if you want to help out shoot me an email! Also the Japanese players are very happy about the new timeslot so we will see how things play out.
Squidslinger Gilder:
I'm no fan of loadout locking or non tarcide rule. This stifles creativity in matches. Plus there is no way you can police tarcide because there is always a small chance you can kill your ally in it as well. It is just the way the game works. Till Muse changes it, deal with it. We have not even used it since that one time simply because I saw no tactical reason to. I imagine that is similar for other teams that are aware of it and ponder using it.
Also after Falcos made such a fuss about rudeness in matches and we addressed it as a show of respect, hearing you push for drama in the community and anger amongst teams is deplorable. Drama has a tendency to spill over and I do not want to deal with it when outside of matches. Then last night there was spending an hour dwelling on why the Ducks wouldn't let you fly for them and trying to promote more drama as a good thing for GOIO. I don't care what the Ducks did. If they were in the wrong then prove it in the air not with your mouth.
BFS will join the Ducks and sit this one out.
Ofiach:
Wait, I'm trying to figure out what you're talking about Gilder. Me and some of the Ducks joke about that all the time. And as for drama maybe you don't understand what I mean. I'm not talking about shit talk I'm talking about losing in round one and coming back to win it all and beating the team that beat you along the way. That is "drama" without it being shit talk or negative.
Yes when someone beats someone else the team that lost is going to be like damn ok we gotta beat them next time around. Saying "Our sights are set on beating these guys next time around." Is not a bad thing, that's good healthy competition.
As to what I said about the Paddling. Yeah everyone should be aiming to beat them, they are the best team out there right now. Why compete if you aren't aiming to beat the best team?
