To a degree, like if your character and 1 of mine are doing something together then you can do that to continue the story but I doubt you can kill someones character off, that would be rude.

yeah, I get that. I would never wanna kill you, especially after you mentioned me in the story. Please let me know if Nova becomes too much for the story. I'll try to not go overboard, but I wanted to do something unique.
