so when will the next newcomers match be? is it every saturday?

Yes, but this Saturday is the final week of regular Cogs, meaning that taking the newcomer's slot doesn't really change much, since the entire upcomer's Cog becomes meaningless in the finale qualifier. So you could either sign up for this weekend just to get some experience in, or you could only sign up for the Week 8 round robin (next week) to try to nab a finale spot.

cool so if we (wolfpack) chose to sign up next week (the 14th right?) and we were to win we would be eligible for the cogs?

The format of next week is going to depend on how many teams sign up. It's going to be a round robin of sorts (don't worry, you won't play too many teams. Last season only five or six teams signed up for week . If you win enough in the round robin to qualify, then you get to participate in the finale tournament one week later. The tournament ends this season of Cogs and determines the seeding for next season.
