I'd pay for visual ship customization, but can't afford 500$. Cheap Affordable visual customization yes (I'd especaily love to have my own coat of arms on my ship(s) - see my forum avatar pic).
Giving design options to donnors who'd pay etraordinary monies: also a good idea. Could also allow donors to have reative input to visual weapon design or maybe weapon skins (that would just change the looks of existing weapons) or ship skins.
