Weekly Progress Update: 3/28/2014

So much PAX preparation happening this week

Hey everyone! 3 pm eastern is fast approaching and that means the chance to chat, discuss, and debate things live with us at Twitch.tv/gunsoficarus. To make sure you have plenty of ammo for discussion we like giving a look into our week and what we’ve been working on.

Chang-hung:
CH has been doing more bug busting on Arashi airships.

Shelly:
Shelly has been deep in ship customization working on decals and figure head paint overs.

Howard:
Traveled back from GDC and is working with casters for a big event in early May.

George:
George has easily had one of the coolest weeks for the team. He has been working on sounds for thunder and airplane engines. He added some animations when boss ship enters a new damaged state and he made some progress on a new way to display fire damaged states. Also he added in muzzle flashes for enemy ships.

Emily:
Emily has made a new skin for the UI

Tim:
Tim has spent his time making sure Co-Op looks good for pax by working on Planes, Engines, Guns, Lighting, and Particles.

Alex:
Everything co-op. Preparing our PAX demo level and build, fixing director bugs and tweaking, helping with visuals.

Eric:
Eric has been poking the AI Director, reminding it to do its job and training AI Airships. Keeping them on a short leash.

Jerry:
Jerry has been working on our new Clan and event system and also on optimizing our matchmaker system.

Derek:
Cranking out the last of the ship customization layouts. Two different themes for Pax, “Royal” and “Militant”.

Victor:
Added the event feature of community which will be huge for everything our amazing community and we are working on

Matthew:
Organizing new matchmaking testing and rules. Making sure the ideas pile is probably organized for everyone to go through in during Monday’s meeting. Working on some new ideas for competitive and how it will work with all the new in-game tools.
