Weekly Progress Report 10/24/2014

Alex’s new shader is looking really good we think.

It’s been an exciting and stressful couple weeks with the new patch, but now everything is out and ready to be fixed. We’ve been working on both on hotfixing the patch, but there is a lot of exciting working being done on Co-Op mode.

Howard:
Prepping for a talk at the Ohio Game Dev conference.  Working with youtubers on upcoming anniversary event happening next week!  Working with players on feedback and solutions to improve the game.

Tim:
Authoring a bunch of guides to help users contribute their items to steam workshop.

Victor:
Trying to bring Guns to life on PS4.

Tom:
Working on revisions to new Stamina System and Scavenge Mode.

Eugene:
Replacing the co-op defense land with the new shader alex made and designing another boss ship.

Jerry:
Matchmaking fixes and more fixes.

Eric:
– Anniversary related promo materials
– Bug fixing (maps and achievements)
– Mailing bunch of Kickstarter stuff
– Revising faction progression mechanics

George:
– Fixing bugs
– Adding hit sounds for gatling gun
– Adding sounds for bullets flying by
– Engine’s pitching based on speed

Alex:
Fixing bugs and otherwise preparing for a hotfix to 1.3.8.  Investigating bizarre compilation issues specific to a certain platform we have not yet released on.

CH:
Bug fixing; trying to catch platform-dependent runtime exceptions that cannot be try-caught by code.

Emily:
Making a bunch of small UI changes for the patch and getting the workshop scene all finished up.

Matthew:
Helping players out in game and in email with the new system.  Evaluating the new system and player feedback.
